The legal situation in Colombia

Colombia is not on Hyperliquid's restricted list. Colombia has no comprehensive crypto law: Bill 510 of 2025 was archived, and the Superintendencia Financiera says it does not regulate, supervise or authorise crypto platforms. The tax authority DIAN has adopted OECD CARF reporting from tax year 2026. We found no action naming Hyperliquid.

Key facts

  • Bill 510 of 2025 (Cámara), which would have regulated crypto platforms, was archived.
  • The SFC does not license crypto trading platforms and warns that any claimed 'SFC licence' for crypto is a fraud signal.
  • DIAN: CARF data collection from tax year 2026, with the first mass submission expected in May 2027; general income and wealth tax rules apply to crypto.
  • No rule on crypto derivatives and no action naming Hyperliquid were found.
